Information You Choose to Send
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Cass County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms apply to the query after it is submitted.
If you email or send a contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. Contact messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Information
Like most websites, the service may receive basic technical details when a page loads. These can include an IP address, browser name and version, device and operating system, pages viewed, time spent, a referring page, and timestamps.
Cookies may help measure how visitors move through the site. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, though some functions may then behave differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports ordinary site operations. It may be used to keep pages stable and quick, route a query to the correct search partner, understand which Cass County resources are useful, diagnose technical faults, and display advertising that may match a visitor’s interests.
Links and Outside Services
Links lead to sheriff, police, corrections, court, release-record, federal locator, and third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy policy governs. Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites or select interest-based ads.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be handled by search partners that process a submitted query, analytics services, advertising networks, and law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Security Practices
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used. No internet-connected service is fully secure, however, and we cannot promise that a system will never be accessed, altered, or disrupted.
Users Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent personal data may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Your Data Choices
Depending on applicable law, a user may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, request a correction, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. Missouri public records held by the Cass County Sheriff, Belton Police, MODOC, or a court remain under those agencies’ rules and are not controlled by this site.
